Home Education Awareness Week 11-16 October 2010

Home Education Awareness Week 11-16 October 2010

Home Educators all over the country use this as an opportunity to do something special to raise their profile locally and develop a bit of positive public relations. This helps in gaining the movement a bit more credibility, especially when applying for grants or discounts with resource suppliers, or for admission to tertiary institutions or gaining help and advice from schools and perhaps even the use of some of their resources. And of course the benefits would be examined by more people, thereby bringing more people into the home schooling movement and your local support group.

Morrinsville Homeschool History Fair: Wednesday 30th June 2010

Morrinsville Homeschool History Fair

Wednesday 30th June 2010

Venue: Campbell Hall, Canada Street, Morrinsville

Times:

Set up from 8.30

Judging at   9.00

viewing from 10.00 (for those not exhibiting)

Vendors will be coming:  confirmed so far is Creaky Corner, a couple of others are getting back to me.

Prices: $5.00 per entry, Maximum of $15.00 per family

If you are doing one entry with the whole family it is $5.00, as these are not being judged.

If registered before the 21st June.

This year we will have registrations a bit differently, as I will need to know before the 21st June if you are coming.  If you haven’t registered by then I will need to charge a late fee.  This is to make sure that I cover the cost of the hall hire.

There will also be a sausage sizzle, just as in the past three years.  Proceeds from the Sausage Sizzle go towards prizes etc.

Last Year we were extremely blessed to get the Sausages at a extremely discounted price for New World in Morrinsville, which made this exercise very profitable in that we had some very nice prizes last year.
