Announcing the Rainbow Resource Center Holiday Store!

Our Son is involved with setting up this new venture at Rainbow Resources:

Announcing the Rainbow Resource Center Holiday Store!

You might know us only as a mail-order company, but this Christmas season, we are trying something new. We are opening a small store inside our warehouse facilities so that customers can drop in and see our selection of educational games and toys in person! The store will feature a selection of items from our Holiday & Gift Catalog, as well as some clearance-priced merchandise.

The store will open Monday, November 30th, and will be open Monday through Saturday through December 23rd.

Store hours: Mondays-Fridays 1 – 6 p.m.
Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Due to the relatively small size of the store, selection is somewhat limited. If you are planning on making the trip, you may wish to check with customer service to make sure the item(s) you are interested in are available in the store. We will be taking orders for items that are not in stock in the store, either for pick-up or to be shipped. Whether you live nearby, are making the trip to pick up an order already, or are traveling through Central Illinois, we invite you to drop by! See directions below.

Our warehouse is located in southern Stark County, IL off of Rt. 78. The address is: 5134 Duncan Rd. – Toulon, IL 61483. Unfortunately, our new postal address is still not recognized on many internet mapping sites or GPS systems. If you are using a GPS, you will probably want to use our coordinates instead: N 40º 59.044′ W 089º 53.310′.

The Bible Lessons of John Quincy Adams for His Son

The Bible Lessons of John Quincy Adams for His Son

$19.90

Author: Douglas W. Phillips
Format: Paperback (91 pages)

My Dear Son, I have thought if in addition to the hour which I daily give to the reading of the Bible, I should also from time to time (and especially on the Sabbath) apply another hour occasionally to communicate to you the reflections that arise in my mind upon its perusal, it might not only tend to fix and promote my own attention to the excellent instructions of that sacred Book… JQA

Historian David McCullough has described President John Quincy Adams as one of the most principled and certainly most intelligent men ever to occupy the White House. Born in 1767, Adams entered his country’s service while a mere lad as secretary to the Russian Embassy and remained through life a public servant, filling successively the posts of secretary, ambassador, United States Senator, Secretary of State, President, and finally Representative in Congress. This station he filled from 1831 until the moment of his death, while rising to address Congress on February 23, 1848. However, all of these remarkable achievements are secondary to his role as father. Though a busy man, Adams made it his priority to study the Bible and to train his son to love God’s Holy Word. His example stands out for all men as a shepherd who loved his family flock. When I first read President Adam’s Bible study lessons to his son, I was amazed at the tremendous detail and the depth of his biblical knowledge. Edited and Compiled by Doug Phillips. Paperback. 91 pgs.
