  1. Kia ora everyone,

My wife Laura and I home-school our five boys in Papamoa. Recently we read and responded to the MoE survey feedback initiative. Our thanks go to Barbara Smith for researching and articulating her thoughts, feelings and suggestions on this website. We agree with many of them and informed the MoE in our feedback. On a different personal note I would like to share that my family does not need rewrite or reapply for an exemption for home-schooling even though we lived in Australia for 7 months in 2013. Candida from the Hamilton Office clarified this with me this morning. Be encouraged and keep educating your children to the very best of your ability.

    Nga mihi nui

    Kenneth and Laura Setiu
