William was home Schooled from the age of 11 as advised by the education dept, interesting he hasn’t looked back.

He has been composing music since the age of 4 and by age 7 had  became a Australasian Award Winner

Home Schooling allowed him time for his music studies composing and travel

The EF-Factor Youth Enviro Film competition

Hi everyone,
Victoria from Reel Earth Environmental Film Festival would like us all to know about this competition which has some fabulous prizes and is a great opportunity for budding film-makers out there to get your stuff noticed! The Horizons EF-FACTOR Enviro short film competition is about engaging young people with the environment through film

  • They make a short (2min) environmental film on ‘something beginning with c’ – they can be as creative as they want with this!
  • Results based partly on how many people ‘like’ it on our Facebook page, and partly on judges assessment
  • The environmental message is as important as the film values
  • Entrants must live in the Horizons Regional Council area
  • Three Age groups:

    • Year 1 – 6 (prize is $329 Motorola Telecom Fire Smart phone)
    • Year 7-13 (prize is $929 Nokia Lumina 800 Telecom Smart phone)
    • 21 and under (prize is $929 Nokia Lumina 800 Telecom Smart phone)
    • PLUS 10x prizes of Telecom $20 prepaid vouchers
