“And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.” (Deuteronomy 6:7)

Current statistics show we are losing between 75% and 88% of professing Christian young people by the end of the first year of college. The response of the church at large has been a decidedly large focus on “relevant” and “hip,” family-fragmenting youth ministries. But is this the right response? Dr. Voddie Baucham says no.

In this powerful message delivered at the 2006 Conference for Uniting Church and Family, Dr. Baucham presents the case that the home must be the central training ground for evangelism and discipleship. He charges parents to understand their role as shepherds by embracing the joy of their biblical duties and responsibilities. His exposition of Scripture is clear and his arguments unassailable.

The Family Table: Rediscovering the Blessings of Christian Family Culture (2 CDs)

The Family Table: Rediscovering the Blessings of Christian Family Culture (2 CDs)

Author: Douglas W. Phillips
Format: Audio CD (89 minutes)

$30.00

In today’s fast-paced culture, the family table — once a central part of the life for believers — has been all but neglected as families have become disconnected and domesticity has been eschewed.

In this insightful message, Doug Phillips shows from the Scripture how that the table is to be a place of peace, discipleship, hospitality, and cultural transformation. It is the place where some of the greatest glories of Christian culture are manifest and where the discipling of children and the evangelism of the community can be carried out with great effect. It is the place where fathers set aside the burdens of the day and open God’s Word; where wives demonstrates their giftings; where sons are catechized; and where daughters show their service. Christ communed with His disciples around a table, and for lasting reformation to occur in our time, families must likewise embrace mealtime as an opportunity to commune with one another and glorify God.

How to Think Like a Christian (CD)

How to Think Like a Christian (CD)

$19.00

Author: Douglas W. Phillips
Format: Audio CD (60 minutes)

Most Christians think like humanists — not on purpose, mind you, but because they have never been trained to “take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ” by trusting in Scripture as the basis of their worldview. The results are devastating. Double-minded Christians dominate our churches. They have one foot in the world and one foot in the Church. They look to the Bible when it is convenient, but assume it is silent on most issues, rather than regarding it as “sufficient for all of faith and practice.” This lecture presents an overview of what is needed to reform our minds.

Why Christian Manhood Must Prevail (CD)

Why Christian Manhood Must Prevail (CD)

$19.00

Author: Douglas W. Phillips
Format: Audio CD (69 minutes)

How can we disciple our sons to be the true heirs of Christendom? In this powerful message, Doug Phillips calls the men and boys of our generation back to the lost legacy of Christian manhood, urging them to recover the old chivalric code that was once a hallmark of Western culture. Christian manhood, he maintains, must be recaptured or else our civilization will be destroyed. Yet there is hope: If we raise our sons to preserve, protect, and promote the ancient doctrine of “women and children first,” they can become “the repairer of the breach” and lead the West to greatness once again.

The Wise Woman’s Guide to Blessing Her Husband’s Vision (2 CDs)

The Wise Woman’s Guide to Blessing Her Husband’s Vision (2 CDs)

$30.00
Author: Douglas W. Phillips
Format: Audio CD (104 minutes)

The Christian community is full of dear ladies discouraged because their husbands lack vision to lead the family with gusto. In some cases, the men are simply overwhelmed with present responsibilities. In other cases, they lack a biblical framework for household leadership. It certainly does not help when men have poor role models in their own lives, which is the case for a growing majority of husbands. Often wives cry out, “Help, my husband just doesn’t get it,” or, “I want more children, but my husband says ‘no,’” or even, “My husband is nervous about home schooling.” For more than ten years, Doug and Beall Phillips have spoken with hundreds who share these sentiments. But, too often, wives contribute to the problem through a wrong response. The great news is that the Bible anticipates this crisis of leadership in the home and provides crystal clear direction for wives. Wise women will desire to bless their husband’s vision by embracing the specific affirmative and negative biblical commands given to them for this very purpose. Those who do will become a sanctifying influence on their household, grow in spiritual maturity, and become God’s vehicle for their husband’s spiritual revival. This series is meant to encourage both wives and husbands with the principles and the practicalities for men and women growing in family vision for the Lord.

Customer Comments

We recently listened to the CDs A Wise Woman’s Guide. Wow how profound! I cannot believe that I have wasted the last twenty years on being a contentious wife. To think that I put so much effort into making my husband miserable, I praise God he has stayed with me for these twenty years. I have been so ashamed of my actions and have become so convicted I just want to cry. Praise God that I have such a loving and forgiving husband.

I wanted to write give my thanks and what I am sure will be my husband’s thanks (when he sees the change in my countenance) for your tape series [The Wise Woman’s Guide]. I must with great sorrow confess my sinful discontent and common tendency to be a “professor” to my husband. Oh, that I had the patience he shows me!!! What’s worse is that I know better!! I know what God’s Word says about it and still I have allowed my selfish desires to have it my way and in my timing be a thorn in my dear husband’s side instead of a blessing. What a blessing to be convicted, humbled, exhorted and encouraged all at the same time. I thank God for inspiring your words and trust and rely on His mercy and grace to daily turn from this wickedness and be the wife and mother my Father in Heaven designed me to be.
