Western Bay of Plenty Playcentre Association with support from Creative Tauranga is pleased to announce our National Children’s Poetry Competition.

We are seeking poems that explore word play and metrical beat, e.g. activity and counting poems, especially with New Zealand content. Most of all we want poems that are fun to read aloud and listen to.
Categories Are:
Adults writing for 0 to 7 year olds
Adults writing for 7 to 12 year olds
Secondary School Students writing for 0 to 12 year olds.
Prizes for each category:
1st Prize $150. 2nd Prize $100. 3rd Prize $50.

6 Highly Commended winners will receive 2 free copies of the published book each
