Come along and be encouraged and inspired by veteran home-educator, Barbara Smith as well as local homeschooling Mums and Dads at the Wanganui Home Educators Conference.
Saturday 16th February
Wanganui East Baptist Church (cnr Nixon and Moana Sts)
9am – 5pm
Topics include:
- Teaching children well in an evolution-centric society
- Avoiding Burnout – Keeping going when the going gets tough
- Single parent homeschooling
- Training our Children’s minds
- Home educating through secondary and preparing for Tertiary
- Encouragement for Dads
Cost is $15 per person for the day (or $5 per session), $5 per extra adult, $5 for catered lunch

12:15-1pm Lunch (catered-$5 choice of quiche/pie, muffin, fruit & drink)
1-2:30pm Keynote :

Followed by discussion panel of current and ex-home-educated students
5:00pm onwards Shared dinner (pizza/fish’n’chips/byo)
Childcare:
A supervised creche will be provided for babies and children under 3
It would be appreciated if you can arrange for older children to be taken care of elsewhere,
but if necessary, supervised activities will be available for 3-12 year olds $5/half day
