Dr Jay Wile (www.drwile.com) was extremely well received by adults and teens alike when he was last here five years ago. Dr Wile is an international speaker, author, and the founder of the ever popular “Apologia Science” curriculum. He is a very entertaining and engaging speaker so even if you haven’t read his books or used his materials, you will benefit greatly from what he has to say. Dr Jay is a Christian author who will be speaking from this perspective but anyone is welcome to attend the conference as it is a great for Professional Development and also a wonderful opportunity to network with fellow home educators.

* About the Firelight Foundation
This event is brought to you by the ‘The Firelight Foundation’. The Firelight Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation which has previously brought out other speakers such as Terry Small, Jim Weiss, Andrew Pudewa and Steve Demme – the success of this event is dependent on the help of volunteers like you! If you would like to help out at any event, please email me off list (firelight@learnex.co.nz or events@learnex.co.nz stating which event you would be available for and what your strengths are e.g. setup, Morning Tea, front desk etc. and I’ll pass the details onto the appropriate people. Nobody will be given a job that interferes too much with their ability to benefit from and enjoy the conference.
