“These conferences should have been compulsory!”

When Andrew Pudewa visited New Zealand in 2008, this is what one enthusiastic home educator had to say after she attended his conference in Palmerston North.

“These conferences in New Zealand should have been compulsory for all home educators in New Zealand to attend. I highly recommend them that much. Every one of his sessions was fantastic. Some made me want to do more of his courses so that I could find out a lot more.”

Homeschool camp 2010

Homeschool camp 2010

Planning for this is underway as camps get booked up often a year or more in advance.

The 2010 camp will be October 18-22 at the Peter Snell Village Camp in Whangapaoroa, 45 minutes north of Auckland central.

The camp can accommodate up to 87 people in bunk rooms and is a fully catered camp.

Accommodation costs are…

Approx $35 for adults, $32 for teens aged 14-18yrs, $30 for children aged 3-13yrs and all children under 3 years are free.

There is a further $13 per school aged child to pay for the activities.

We can only take a maximum of 87 people and spaces are filling fast. Camp olicy states that we need to confirm our booking with a deposit of $750 by mid January.

You will be required to pay a $100 deposit upon registering for the camp with the balance due on July 1st 2010.

Your space will not be confirmed until I have received confirmation of your deposit.

Rooms are assigned on a first come first served basis and later registrations will have to share one of the larger bunkrooms.

If you would like to join us please contact me ASAP.

Blessings

A note from Johanna about Rainbow’s End: Monday, 23 November

Rainbows End

Hi Everyone,

About 333 homeschoolers are booked in for Rainbow’s End, Manukau City, on Monday 23 Nov. They’ve had a personal email about this.

As I don’t know how far and wide the initial invitations to book have gone, I write to the yahoogroups.

If you haven’t received an email (with 2 exceptions), then you’re probably not booked.   :((

Please DO NOT turn up unbooked at Rainbow’s End. The special price is because it’s part of Rainbow’s End CARE Days that they run for schools at the end of each year in November.

It’s been an amazing response – now I hope and pray that the weather is reasonable and that the gate-money-banding process goes well!!

Looking forward to a great day out and meeting some new fellow home educators too,

Johanna in Hamilton
